KZ Provisioning Eyes Growth with CEO Hire
KZ Provisioning, a catering and hospitality company co-founded by James Beard award-winning chefs Andrew Zimmern and Gavin Kaysen, has hired Bri Rosas as its first CEO. The company partners with sports teams to dial in their athletes’ nutrition planning.
Sports franchises are always working to give their players an edge, and research has shown that a nutrition plan built for athletes can improve their performance, expedite their recovery and help prevent injury. KZ Provisioning partners with teams in various ways, such as providing meals at the team facility, tailoring food for a cross-country plane ride or having a chef work with athletes at their homes. The cost of services for each team is dependent on the needs.
“How you feed people is how you value them, especially in sports,” Rosas said.
In this new era, KZ Provisioning aims to “strategically invest in data and science processes and galvanize strategic partners that can help us move this forward,” Rosas said. “Then really work holistically with teams and elevate their current performance and food program,” helping them understand nutrition is “not just a budget item—it is an investment in their athletes.”
